Duke Beluga prefers to spend his time blowing bubbles.
This little fellow finds the responsibilities of maintaining the peace among his friends rather boring. Mostly because Beluga whales tend to be rather friendly, so keeping the peace is kind of unnecessary. Our little Royal has an anemone crown.
I like watching nature documentaries, and I’m noticing more and more animals are making their way onto the endangered list. Beluga whales were commercially hunted during the 19th century and have struggled to maintain their population since. It troubles me that I can’t just wander into the ocean, scoop them all up, and make them safe. I hate doing nothing. So, in an effort to make a dent, I’ll be donating 10% of my profits from the sales of the The Royals to two organizations helping to protect our animal friends: WildAid (http://www.wildaid.org/about-wildaid) and The Orangutan Foundation (http://orangutan.org/). Both organizations are rated 4 stars by Charity Navigator.
