About the Bird Art:
The image is printed on Epson Premium Matte Paper with UltraChrome Ink; the color should last quite a long time. The print is then mounted on a cradled wood block and coated with a UV resistant protectant to prevent fading. Each block is signed and numbered on the back (the edition # you receive will vary). Ready to hang from a sawtooth hanger attached to the back. Watermarks will not appear on print.

This listing is for a limited edition, fine art print of my original painting of an Orange-headed thrush called, “They Don’t Compare to You.”
I’ve been painting a lot of birds from California lately (and largely, my birds seems to spend most of their time in the US). I decided to branch out a bit this time, and found this sweet, cheerfully colored bird from Southeast Asia/India. Bird in a Box subscribers: this is the bird for June 2016.
About the bird:
Wikipedia shares the following:
It is common in well-wooded areas of the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia. Most populations are resident. The species shows a preference for shady damp areas, and like many Zoothera thrushes, can be quite secretive.
The male of this small thrush has uniform grey upperparts, and an orange head and underparts. The females and young birds have browner upper parts.
