About the Bird Art:
The image is printed on Epson Premium Matte Paper with UltraChrome Ink; the color should last quite a long time. The print is then mounted on a cradled wood block and coated with a UV resistant protectant to prevent fading. Each block is signed and numbered on the back (the edition # you receive will vary). Ready to hang from a sawtooth hanger attached to the back. Watermarks will not appear on print. Color may vary (based on your monitor settings).

This listing is for a limited edition, fine art print of my original painting of a Western Screech-Owl called, “You’ve Got a Hazy Head but Happy Knees.”
This is a portrait of a sweet little western screech owl named Oliver. An injury to his left eye means he can’t live in the wild anymore, so he now lives at the World Bird Sanctuary in Missouri (where he is very well cared for).

About the Bird

Inconspicuous but locally very common is this little owl. In the varied terrain of the west, its haunts range from coastal forests in southeastern Alaska to cactus groves in the Arizona desert, and it is often found in suburban areas. Until the 1980s, Western and Eastern screech-owls were considered to belong to the same species because they look so similar; however, their voices differ, and they apparently recognize their own kind by sound.
