Wayward Whale At Roy’s
A painting from a series that I’ll be developing for the foreseeable future: The Wayward Whales. If you’ve been following my work, I’m sure you’ve noticed that much of my focus is on the ocean. Not to get all preachy, but it’s in trouble. You can read more about that here. With this on my mind, I found myself daydreaming about what would happen if the ocean became uninhabitable to the point that whales took to the sky. Or, will the oceans rise and turn the planet into an entire world of Atlantis? Will whales drift past sunken cities and other relics? I’m attempting to leave it up to the viewer to decide…
This humpback is looking for a place to rest his head. Fortunately, Roy’s appears to have vacancy.
