New Owls Have Joined the Flock

I’d been on a bit of a hiatus from bird paintings, but I’m starting up again. I’m happy to share two of my latest little feathered friends with you. The first is a Great Horned Owl. I’ve titled this, “I’ve Got Your Back” as this little fellow looks like someone you’d want on your side when things get tough.

The next is a Long-eared Owl. I call this one, “Surely You Jest?!” I think the title comes from the relatively surprised look on this little guys face. I had a lot of fun working on the feathers between his eyes.
